Ages 14 And Up, Grades 9 And Up

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katharine McGee invites you to visit 19th century Europe and the last glittering decade of the monarchies. Three princesses struggle to find love -- two will become Queens one day...one will die tragically young. Think Bridgerton meets American Royals, inspired by true events.

It's 1889 and the world is about to change. Technology is rapidly advancing and Europe is on the brink of a social revolution, the likes of which has never been seen. In the midst of all this are three princesses. They have no idea what's coming but they do know one thing--what they want.

Alix of Hesse is the most beautiful princess on the continent but she doesn't want fame. She desires love...but is a forbidden romance worth the cost of duty to her country?

Hélène d’Orleans was a princess in France...but now her family lives in exile in England and she's determined to take advantage of every freedom this lifestyle offers her.

May of Teck is too royal to marry “just anyone,” and not royal enough to marry an actual king. But she doesn’t care how unlikely it is; she’s determined to marry well. In fact, she’s decided that she’ll be the next Queen of England.

From the ballrooms to the stables to the beautiful countryside homes of the ruling families of Europe, these princesses will steal every dance, glance, and perhaps even kiss they can get from the elligible princes of the day. Experience a pivotal moment in history through the eyes of women who influenced it in this story of drama and romance from New York Times bestselling author Katharine McGee.

About the Author

Katharine McGee is the New York Times bestselling author of the American Royals series and the Thousandth Floor trilogy. She studied English and French literature at Princeton University and has an MBA from Stanford. She’s been speculating about American royalty since her undergraduate days, when she wrote a thesis on “castle envy”—the idea that the American psyche is missing out on something because Americans don’t have a royal family of their own. She lives in her hometown of Houston, Texas, with her husband and sons.
