About the Author
Beth Bacon is an author of books for young readers. She earned an MFA in writing for children from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She also has a degree in communications from New York University and a degree in literature from Harvard. She previously worked with Apple on communications and marketing, as well as in elementary school education. She has written The Panda Cub Swap, I Hate Reading, The Book No One Wants to Read, and other books you can discover at bethbaconauthor.com.Karen Kane has worked as an interpreter for the Deaf community for over twenty-five years. The people she met along the way inspired her writing with their strength, warmth, and humor, especially those in the Deaf community. Karen graduated from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf and received her MFA in writing for children and young adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is the author of Edgar-award finalist Charlie and Frog and its sequel, The Boney Hand. When she's not writing, you can find her in person as a sign language interpreter at Gallaudet University or lost in the stacks of her local library.Eric Barclay grew up in a small Texas town, where he spent plenty of time playing outside, reading, drawing, and writing. He also enjoyed childhood summer visits to his grandfather’s ranch, which meant helping with cows and riding around in the back of a pickup. Years later, Eric hung up his overalls and graduated from a big city university, where he studied journalism and graphic design. Now he writes and illustrates books for kids, which allows him to occasionally enjoy the outdoors again. He is the author-illustrator of the Sheep Dog and Sheep Sheep series, Hiding Phil, I Can See Just Fine, and Counting Dogs, and the illustrator of My Pet Wants a Pet by Elise Broach.
