Tanya Humphreys (pseudonym: Scarlet Ratt) is an illustrator turned writer, because she loves being both. It took a pandemic to make her finally say, “I’ve just got to DO it.” Tanya’s head is filled with a cornucopia of tales stemming from 55 years of crazy life experiences, even crazier people, and an insane love of animals. She creates her multimedia art out of a home studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. In addition to making pet portraits, illustrations, and graphics, Tanya also felts tiny animals and dabbles in stained glass. She lives in Boulder Creek.
