For fans of Finding Winnie, a warm, lovingly detailed picture book that tells the true story of the beloved classic The Velveteen Rabbit and its creator, Margery Williams.

Since its publication over one hundred years ago, The Velveteen Rabbit has been a touchstone for generations of children. Here, for the first time, is the story of how this cherished character came to be, and of the writer who brought him to life.As a child, Margery Williams was encouraged to embrace her creativity and imagination, which later helped her cope with challenging times of war and loss. Rich, expressive artwork that’s made to be pored over and a warm, reassuring text draw readers into Margery’s world and show them how they can use their own creativity to get through hard times. This gorgeous, giftable picture book will resonate with anyone who’s ever wished their beloved toys would become real—and with those who believe they already are.
