About the Author
Rob Sanders is an accomplished children’s author, a pioneer in LGBTQIA+ literary nonfiction, and no stranger to book banning. His acclaimed picture book Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag is frequently challenged and banned. But Rob continues to fight for inclusive reads. He is the author of many groundbreaking books for young readers, including Queer and Fearless: Poems Celebrating the Lives of LGBTQ+ Heroes and Stonewall: A Building. An Uprising. A Revolution. Micah Player is the author-illustrator of Chloe, Instead and the illustrator of several books and games for children, including the picture book Paletero Man by Lucky Diaz. When he was a kid, his best book friend was an obscure fantasy novel about an aspiring cartoonist with a messy room who was afraid he might never finish anything and was constantly daydreaming about a girl.
