About the Author
Peter Curtis is a bestselling author, award-winning producer, and creator of children’s characters, books, and television series known and loved around the world. With over a million book sales to his name, Peter is the creator and author of the popular children’s story book series The World of Dinosaur Roar!, which was originally published by Macmillan Children’s Books in the UK. The book series has been developed in association with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, and the Natural History Museum in London. Peter has written or cowritten sixteen books so far in The World of Dinosaur Roar! series including Dinosaur Roar and Friends!, which was specially created for the twenty-fifth anniversary of World Book Day in 2022. His book What Dinosaur Am I? is one of the top selling dinosaur books for children in the UK. Prior to creating The World of Dinosaur Roar!, Peter spent over twenty-five years working in children’s television. He was the executive producer for both the original Bob the Builder television series and the multi-award-winning series The Koala Brothers. He is also the creator of Rubbadubbers. Born in South Wales, Peter graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff, with a Bachelor of Music degree before embarking on a career in television. Today, Peter is the cofounder and creative director of The Dinosaur Roar Company and continues to write books and films for children from his home in Hove on the East Sussex coast.
