Liv Livingston feels she’s finally found her footing in her new school—even the bat hall monitors at Gloomsdale Elementary don’t screech at her as much! But when Liv’s new friend Vera asks her to try out for the Ghoul Squad with her, she’s not sure it’s her crowd. The members are pretty daunting with their matching uniforms and constant spelling of words—particularly the leader, Astrid, who isn’t very nice. Still, Liv doesn’t want to lose Vera’s friendship. Can she get through tryouts without spelling D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R?
