Instead, she walks in on Tucker proposing to another woman, Olivia. Mutually livid, Kat and Olivia dump Tucker and go on Kat’s prepaid getaway together and walk in on Tucker already at the AirBnB with a third girl, Elle. Jilted, Kat, Olivia, and Elle band together to exact revenge on him by sneaking into his apartment to leave some unsavory surprises. . . and stumble upon his corpse.

With horror, they realize an outsider would easily see they have motive, the crime scene is covered in their DNA, they’ve unknowingly tampered with evidence, and they also possess the combination of skills to commit the perfect murder as a chemist, lawyer, and author. What’s worse, they soon become semi-famous because of a guest appearance gone wrong on the very popular female revenge podcast Dish Served Hot, which they booked before they went to Tucker’s apartment.

When it comes out that Tucker died from chemical poisoning, Kat becomes the main suspect in Tucker’s death (which is being investigated by a conveniently hot detective). The girls have to solve the murder before Kat is arrested. The more they dig into Tucker’s life, the more they realize his lies weren’t just about his relationship status. No one knows the real him at all. And it seems that he’s pissed off just about everyone he’s come across, in business as well as love. The suspect list grows as time runs out. Kat strikes a deal with the detective she can’t deny an attraction to, but can she help his investigation and still save herself and her new friends?
